I need help regarding the iPad Mini.

January 24th, 2020

I just got an iPad Mini yesterday and I need help getting the files onto it. I was able to successfully login and authorize the computer that I was using so I can transfer the files. I wasn’t able to transfer any music, TV shows or movies onto the device. I downloaded some games that I transferred from the PC to the device and it still didn’t work. The games would copy onto the device but they wouldn’t install. I was using iTunes to transfer the music, movies, TV shows and games.

So you went over to the darkside … “Yoda, I told you that young obi-ed-kanobe wasn’t ready; that he could be swayed by the dark forces of Apple”
The first question: is your mini jailbroken or when it comes to apps and games, are they purchased ones? If they are versions, you will need to jailbreak before they will install.
As for the music and video side, I have no clue as I ditched itunes in favour of Leawo iTransfer – I find it way more friendly. And, as luck has it, it will be free in the next few days at:

How do I jailbreak the iPad Mini?
Answer #3
It’s a process that other sites have covered very very well.
I would start here:

Answer #4
I was able to jailbreak the iPad Mini but I still cannot install the games onto the device.

You’re going to need AppSync Unified from AngelXWind’s repo
Here’s her site
http://angelxwind.net/
The ‘repo’ which you’ll need to add to the Sources in Cydia
http://cydia.angelxwind.net/
Once you’ve added the repo in Cydia, just search for AppSync Unified, install that and you ‘should’ be good to go. This ‘AppSync’ tweak will let you install ‘cracked’ apps/games that you’ve downloaded from the internet, if the apps/games that are in your iTunes library are your own (downloaded with your Apple I.D.) then you have a different problem
Answer #6
I clicked on the AppSync Unified but I don’t see the download for it.
Answer #7
Did you add the source to Cydia?
Answer #8
How do i do that?
Answer #9
When you jailbroke you iPad, you should have a Cydia icon on your homescreen.
Open Cydia and along the bottom it’ll say ‘Sources’, click that….
Click ‘Edit’ on the top-right, then click ‘Add’ on the top-left….
In the pop-up box type in…
http://cydia.angelxwind.net/
Then click ‘Add Source’
Once added, use the ‘Search’ and search for AppSync

I will keep you updated. Thanks!
Answer #11
I’ll try to reply back….as WBB topic subscriptions are still messed up (so I wont recieve an email whenever you reply) i’ll have to keep checking back
Edit – You’ll be fine though
Answer #12
That part is finished. How do I install games that I have downloaded on my PC?
Answer #13
Drag your apps/games into iTunes ‘Apps’ section, then select the games you want to install and sync as normal
Answer #14
I wouldn’t jailbreak if I were you. if something happens to your device and it no longer works or there’s a problem with it, you take it back to the Apple shop or send it off for repair then can refuse to replace it/fix it if it’s jailbroken.
anyway, what you need is:

yes, it’s in Chinese but it’s easy to use and the apps/games you get are in plain English.

He’s already done it And it is so easy to put back the stock firmware if there is a warranty question. In fact, you do it using itunes itself (of course you have to download the official firmware but it’s readily available)

If there’s a problem with it he can do a complete restore, so Apple wont be able to to tell if there ever was a jailbreak on it.
BUT….
If you’re not really ‘into’ installing tweaks/customizing your iPad, i’d suggest just buying your apps/games and not jailbreak. Thats my personal opinion, your choice though

Buying makes it easier for certain. And don’t EVER buy from Apple just using your credit card. Purchase the itunes card when they go on sale at your favourite retail store. A $25 card can normally be had for $20, the $50 for $40, and the $100 for $75 (but $80 is more common).
