I got hacked

January 27th, 2020

Hello all, i was keylogged… the dude that keylogged me Hacked my Facebook, Email and Myspace… he changed the passwords on my Email and myspace… and was writing stupid stuff on both of the social networking websites…
i got rid of the Keylogger as far as i know… today he messaged me on myspace giving me his full name…
the message said “I hacked you”
is there any way i could report him?

Answer #1
He’s acting tough behind the screen. Well since you have his full name, you should report him to your local police station. That is if he’s in the same country as you are.
EDIT – Also, I think hiring a lawyer and charge him for breaking into your privacy would result in a good way. Should ask a lawyer if you got to locate that guy.
Answer #2
tyvm for the information, i will look into this and get in contact with my laywer
Answer #3
And don’t forget to keep the message he sent you as a proof. And all the stupid stuff he posted on your myspace..etc
Answer #4
They wont do anything, what can they do. best is to drop it, install better security, install a Keyscrambler that way keyloggers cant get nothing.
live and learn, live and learn.
sucks getting hacked.
Answer #5
Also don’t forget to delete illegal files etc from your pc incase the Police want to keep your pc and take it to the tech guys etc to find the guy and you may be charged for illegal files since you are using too.lol. Report him and read up some laws on the net and talk to a lawyer.
Answer #6
iirc it doesn’t matter if there’s illegal stuff on your as long as your pc when they take it in to look for proof of the hacking. at least here they’re not allowed to use it as proof.
Answer #7
Exactly. Unless they have your permission that is. So don’t give the police any permission to take a look at your computer files. And if they needed to, drag all the illegal files you have on an external HDD and keep it somewhere safe. It’s possible that they might need to take a look to trace that guy or whatever. ( I watch a lot of police tv shows lol ) Anyway, It’s good to be safe.

First contact those websites and make sure they take corrective action. Try to prove the fact that you are the genuine owner of the account to them, and they will send over a new set of passwords. Take control of your accounts first. Police action might take some time, and that dude will spread crap through your account in that time.

He already removed the keylogger and took over his account. I’m guessing changed his passwords as well. So no need for a new set.
Answer #10
He did get rid of the keylogger. So if he can get a new set, then atleast his accounts will be back in his control. If he can manage that, he doesn’t even need to go for the police IMO.
Answer #11
, random accounts hackers do that for gaining attention. So, contact the guy stating that he is really smart for gaining access to your computer. Also, tell him that you are impressed of what he did. Then, wait for his reply. After that, ask him if there is anyway he could give you back your accounts. State that you will be forever grateful if he gave them back to you. This will probably work. Regards.
Answer #12
I do agree with the above poster. If that works, great. Otherwise, you should be able to get back the account by contacting the site administrators (I’ve done it myself). It’s a waste of time and money IMO approaching the police for this.

Who would’ve guessed it was a high school scriptkiddie. Sucks though, I had my Steam stolen last week but managed to get it back after contacting Customer Service.
