how to change my mp3 icons?

when i installed VLC player my mp3 icons changed..
How to do i change them to something else? maybe a Foobar2000 icon perhaps?

right click > properties u will see the icon > click change > pick program

i tired looking for that option but no luck on mp3 files, maybe im missing it ><

That changes which applicaton I want the file to open with not the icon it self

it changes with the application. Thats how it works with mine when i change to nero icon is differnet than the WMP or Rone player !

ah, I’ll install windows media player to replace the icon I can live with this one.. thanks for the help tho m8

just right click on the mp3 icon then click open with, then choose program click on program then check always use the selected program that it.

He doesn’t want to change the program used, just the icon!
Open windows explorer, goto the menu ‘tool’ down bottom select folder options.
go to the third tab ‘file types’ in the top window box, scroll down until you get to mp3, click once to hightlight it.
In the bottom section, select the advanced button – right at the top of the new box is a section that says change icon – use the button to navigate to a .exe or .dll or .ico that has the icon you want to use (eg, media player classic), then you select the icon to use if there is more than one stored inside the file.
This will ONLY change the mp3 icon in explorer, not the program used to open it.

Get icon packager is easy use and can easily change your icon. Don’t mess around with manually fixing the icons cuz, i mess up my icons and had to re install windows (trust me its irritating).
