i got 250gb and 320gb connected now
and i want to connect another 250gb hdd
does my system supports that or not
if does how will be the performance and speed
please reply
thnx in advance
As long as you have a spare port to connect it to then it should be fine…
Wouldn’t affect performance and speed..
don’t forget if you have a old/cheap PSU and you’re using many power consuming hdd (cheap hardware comes with a prize too..) you might experience different problems
just mentioning it
Assuming .::. means sata ports you could also go for usb exter drive to store stuff on its slow compared to sata but good for storage
a sata expansion card (PCI express) has almost the same performance of on-board sata and they come at reasonable prices these days
Yeah ~$10
Anyway, my suggestion would be to open up and check your motherboard. You describe it as “the latest” which doesn’t really help.
Most mobos I’ve seen have 6 SATA ports on them, so I think you should. But remember about the PSU as xerox said
