[HINT][VISTA]Flashdrive as RAM

August 5th, 2016

I just wanted to let some windows Vista users that you can use your flashrive as RAM to speed your computer up, just plug it in and righclick, i am not sure about the exact steps but is pretty self explanatory
Enjoy this small tip

Answer #1
Its called Ready Boost and u need a pretty fast flashdrive to use it, I got a sandisk U3 (2 Gb)
using is pretty simple right click on the drive icon and click on properties, therz a tab reading ready boost
unfortunatly most ppl with modern desktops and 1 GB RAM (min for vista ) will find it useless coz it caches the program files to the USb so therz less amount of swapping. However considering how most modern Hard drives are pretty fast and the impact of swapping on the HD doesnt effect the speed of the sytem to that much an extent, although toshiba laptops which arent as fast as the normal 5400 RPm on other hard disks might find this option useful
