Changing image on Flashdrive

I know that you can change the icon image on your flashdrive but how can you do it. Every time I try to the image never changes. ANy help.

on the drive create a text file called “autorun.inf” with the text
[autorun]
ICON=whatYOUwant.ico
put whatYOUwant.ico on the drive

what if that file aint on the drive can i make my own and if so how. I already looked at show hidden files and folders and its not there. I have Win7 by the way.

Open up Notepad and copy/paste this in:
[autorun]
ICON=whatYOUwant.ico

Where it says “whatYOUwant” in what I just quoted above, has to be the name of the icon you have stored on your flash drive. NOTE: The icon you want to use MUST have a file extension of ‘.ico’
Now click on ‘File’ –> ‘Save As’
Browse to your flash drive.
Now name the file (where it says ‘File name:’) to:
autorun.inf
It’s that easy!

I did it but nothing happened. are they any spaces for
[autorun]

I thought Autorun was normally disabled for USB drives in Win 7 ?

did you change the name to what YOU want it to be ?
and place that icon on the drive ?
