help with a film

i downloaded a film, and its in a different languages, but its got a ziped file in it for english sub titles, how do i apply the subtitles?

rename them, and give it the same name as the video file (except for the extension)
then you will be able to play it with vlc player, or if you use another program you need to VSFillter to show you the subtitles

Install the k-lite codec pack
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_lite_codec_pack.htm
you’ll never have to worry about codecs or subtitles again, just make sure the movie & subs are in the same folder and have the same name
