did it detect both sticks in CPU-Z?
also go start -> run, type “msconfig” in the box and click ok. on the boot tab click ‘advanced options’ and make sure ‘maximum memory’ is unchecked

find your ram, and push down on the tabs on the side of the sticks. this should push the stick upwards. lift it out BEING VERY CAREFUL TO NOT TOUCH THE GOLD CONTACTS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STICK (this is very important, if you do it wrong you can break things). check that connector is clear of dust and other debris, put the stick and push down until the tabs click back into place
Answer #12
make sure you the ram is in the right order. fill up slot 1,2,3.
