Headphones!
December 16th, 2016
I was hoping someone with experience could tell me what the best ones are.
The more popular Sennheiser HD 555?
Or the Audio Technica ATH-M50s?
I read some reviews about both but it is really a hard choice for me since I never owned a pair of decent headphones before.
The ‘bad’ thing I heard about the HD 555 ones is that it gives loud sounds to people in your environment (other people can hear your music to, pretty loud).
Any other OVER EAR headpones you can recommend are welcome to, but I think these 2 are both among the best for its price?
Thanks in advance
I would go with the AT. As far as professional audio equipment goes, they have the absolute best cost/quality ratio.
You have experience with these AT’s or do you just recommend the brand in general?
Hey, you would receive better answer on some kind of audiophile forum. Most ppl will recommend the ones they own or like/know more. I personally would go with HD 555 as I know them and I know that they have great positioning(providing that you have good sound card)in games.
As I said before post the question on good audio forum.
Regards
Yes I also posted this on an audio forum
Still waiting for response their though
For now, it’s a tie
I have around 5 headphones and the ATH-M50 is one of them. The M50 is a very neutral and bassy headphone and sound has a very “in your head” sound of feel. It’s not a relaxing sound but it’s a lot of fun. It’s also very light and great for traveling and has decent noise cancellation. Sound quality is very good for a closed can as well. I honestly don’t like the sound of the lower/mid end Sennheisers and I’d prefer something else instead but it’s all perspective. What are you playing your music through? And what kind of music are you playing? Do you also play first person shooters? There are PLENTY of other headphones in this price range that are also equally good.
m8 i have a set of Sennheiser HD25 there well good had them for nearly 5 years and still going strong cristal clear just need new foams and considering they get used every day for dj ing thats F****** good going as u can guess im a fan boy lol Sennheiser all the way no question
I will mainly use the headphones for my iPod, mostly for DnB, RnB, Techno, … songs.
& yes I will also use them for gaming (fps) & watching movies on laptop, so
If playing FPS try Ultrasones in the price range like the HFI-550 (or Alienware OZMA 5 which is pretty much the same thing)
