I got a new Dell Windows 7 desktop a little over a week ago. The system itself is fast but the Internet seems to be slow at times. When I download files from Megaupload or Fileserve they are going to be slow because I don’t have a premium account which I understand. Sometimes I get a slow Internet speed when I do an Internet speed test. I currently have an Internet speed of 6 MB which is the maximum that I can get in my area. I used to have an HP Pavilion desktop running Windows XP Professional and rarely had an issue with a slow Internet speed. Shouldn’t I be getting a good Internet speed regardless of the Operating System that I am running or not? Is there a solution? Thanks!
Answer #1
I run windows 7 and have not been experiencing problems like what you have.
It has only been slow for me on one other wrz site, meaning, it must not be a problem with the OS.
Answer #2
check sent status (maybe virus)
Answer #3
Yes, you should have a good Internet speed regardless the OS you use. Make sure you don’t have infections of any kind and that your system is fully updated, including drivers.
