Slow download speed! but fast internet !

hello, I have had really bad download speed for the past 2 months!! i always do the speed check test and my results are always great
here are the results of the speed test i did just now:
Last Result:
Download Speed: 12453 kbps (1556.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 965 kbps (120.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 13 ms

but whenever i try to download anything my maximum speed is about 15 kb per second!!! i tried all kinds of links!
please help me!

Edit: thanks for the replies, but before that i would use the same hosts i tried recently and get good download speed (around 400 kb/sec) now i dont even get 15 kb/sec the problem just started suddenly!

well i’m not sure about this problem but it may be because of the host

I get the same problem, file serve give me around 1500 Kbps but when I use news groups I get around 5000 Kbps

I’m sure that you are right…..It depends on host, one host will give you max download speed – one have restrictions on download speed, and because of that

your speed is lower – unless if you are using fileserve acc – then for you is something weird.
What happens when both of you try to download through internet browser – same “low” speed or normal speed.

download very large file for a few minutes see what your speed hits. you dont need to download it all

I have fileserve premium if that’s what you mean?

It really depends on the host.
Try multiple files from multiple sites, and remember that paid filehosts won’t give you a good speed unless you have a premium account.
If the slow download speed persists, contact your ISP.

thanks for the replies! but the problem is kind of new and before that i would download from the same hosts (lets say rapid share) and ill get a decent download speed around (400 kb/sec), now i dont get even a 10 kb/sec!!!

Download a file from microsoft say this,
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/default.aspx
check ur download speed if less, then there is a problem with ur broadband..contact ur ISP.
