$Harecash banned me for no reason?
October 12th, 2013
checkin me email today I found that my $harecash account has been banned – their reason was that I uploaded porn
I have never uploaded porn in my life!
Can anyone help me?
Nope, seeing as how I don’t work there. Maybe email them back with the same kind of concerns you were expressing here. Or file a paypal claim. But that would be a dumb idea. Sharecash? What were you thinking of buying such a hideous account?
As an “old-timer” on the warez scene I am glad.
The whole idea of the internet is to share things FREELY without making money.
If you want to earn money, get off your arse and get a job.
You may be a nice person, but unfortunately I have no sympathies for you on this occasion.
All I ever uploaded was a simple txt file with the pass to my windows keygen – which I gave out here free!
It was an effort to get more users on wbb….
Did they explicitly say that it was because of porn or was it just because of a “TOS violation” with porn being an example of a violation that might have been made? It’s likely that they have a set of canned responses that they send out and you got one of those.
I quote:
Hello,
Our system has detected that your files and/or activities have breached our Terms of Service. This can include you uploading pornographic files, uploading copyrighted files, or downloading your own files. Our advertisers will not pay for such downloads, so we were forced to block the files in your account. There are plenty of ways to make money on ShareCash without breaching our ToS, so we urge you to look for new promotional methods. You, however, should be well aware of our policies against pornographic material as we advertise them on our upload page, forum, etc. We reserve the right to ban your account for this major infraction.
Regards,
The ShareCash Team
This can include you...uploading copyrighted files
I say that uploading content designed to evade copyright is against their ToS and falls under the same umbrella violation as uploading copyrighted material. You’ve pretty clearly violated their ToS by uploading a keygen. The bit at the end:
You, however, should be well aware of our policies against pornographic material
is pretty poorly worded as they’ve forgotten to mention the other kinds of content that this canned response is sent for (copyright infringement, downloading spoofing etc.) but it doesn’t help you.
