Formatting 1TB External Harddrive To FAT32.

January 29th, 2020

I have a 1TB external HDD that I’d like to hook up (via it’s USB cable) to my Xbox 360.
Problem is, the drive is NTFS and the 360 requires the drive to be FAT32.
Inside of Windows (7) I can see options to format the drive but the only options are NTFS and exFAT.
I used a CMD prompt to format the drive but eventually (after several hours) the prompt
told me that the drive was too big for FAT32.
Is anyone aware of any (preferably free) programs (that aren’t made by Symnatec) that can assist?
I’ve done some Google’ing but the results seem very mixed.
(Someone claims I can hook it up to a MAC and format from there and the 360 with use it.)
Thanks.
EDIT: Found this:

Seems to work fine. Surprised at how fast it was.
EDIT#2: GUIFormat worked but insisted the drive was 400gig.
EDIT#3: Turns out VERBATIM (makers of the drive) have their own program for formatting drives.

Nice and fast too.

format /FS:FAT32 X:
That should do the trick, Although Twonky + a WIFIN router / Ethernet is a better sloution.
