Formatting my 1TB external HDD to FAT32

January 26th, 2020

Hey, guys.
My 1TB Seagate “Expansion” external hard drive just arrived (only cost like 65 ), and I would like to be able to use it for my PlayStation 3. I’m told that I need to format it to FAT32, but I don’t want to ruin my HDD.
The HDD came with three files on it already:
A folder called Seagate
A file called Autorun
and a file called Setup (A registration document that sends information to Seagate).
Do I need these folders? Because if I format it then they’ll be gone (obviously), and this may delete something important.
I don’t have any Windows disks (got my Win 7 Pro download for 30 thanks to student deals), so I can’t format with them.
So how would I go around formatting my HDD to FAT32? I heard there are ways to make it so it’s not just 32GB like Microsoft says.
Any help is greatly appreciated .

Answer #1
i wud reccomend that you dont format it as NTFS partitions are much faster than FAT32 partitions……. nd the files act as your warranty if your HDD encounters any probs…..
Answer #2
Well Download HP Format Utility and use that on Windows 7 to format it.
Answer #3
Get Paragon Partition Manager 10 Server
