English audio tracks for non-English 720p .mkv videos?

July 31st, 2016

Anyone know if there is a good way to get English audio tracks for non-English 720p .mkv videos? If so, is there an easy way to add the English audio track to the .mkv and have it play in sync with the video? I mainly want to do this for 720p anime .mkv videos, which seem to be commonly released on the scene with Japanese audio only and I hate reading subtitles when watching movies. I think it’s especially dumb for anime to be released in Japanese audio only since animation is dubbed to begin with and the Japanese dubbing is usually no better than the English dubbing. And .mkv supports multiple audio tracks so there are almost no excuses other than lamenessss. BTW: Are there any good anime groups that release 720p anime with English audio?

Answer #2
you can get the audio track from other 720p releases or the xvid releases it’s almost always the same audio just video if different
use MKVtoolnix (mkvmerge and mkvextract) to extract audio and the merge it again
