DVD RAM Problem
January 29th, 2020
I’m having a problem with my DVD RAM on this crappy laptop I got from my friend (Accer travelmate 3260). He didn’t want it so i took it, removed all the viruses and bought a wireless adapter for it (cos the wireless chip disappeared ) & installed a 2 GB RAM. Now the RAM is 2.49. So After doing all that, I tried to install windows 7 but it’s so slow…..because i have installed win 7 before so I know how fast it should be done but this one is taking too long. I’m thinking there’s something wrong with the lenses or are there any other problems that would cause this?
And thanks in advance for whoever helps/tries to.
i assume that you meen that reading and writing to the dvd drive is slow
file operations will always be slower on laptops because their hard drives have a lower rpm and a lower read/write rate

Ah..well how much do you think would it cost if i wanted to change the lenses? like i said, it’s a crappy chipless laptop that i got from a friend so..i’d expect to have broken parts.

more than it would cost to replace the whole drive, you can usualy pick up drives cheep on ebay, or from a computer parts store

I’ll get that too, work it on all the lenses of the house’s computers/laptops.
Thanks for the info.
