Download speeds?

Here are my results as per Speedtest.net for a local (ish) recommended server.
Download 1951 kb/s
Upload 246 kb/s
Ping 1197ms
Distance 150+ mi
I have a Megaupload premium account, and currently using MegaManager which has been downloading at around 300 kb/s at this time in the morning (10 am in UK).
Does this download speed correctly reflect on my results, or should I be seeing a vastly different outcome?

in broadband,package speed is divided in 8 for real speed,1951 / 8 = 243kb and 300kb is even better (i guess the speedtest server you used was pretty far or overloaded)
