How to i convert divx files to dvd or to xvid?

Unless theyres a menu theyre just bog standard avi files , Rename them.

My dvd player wont play them. either way. They are .avi files but when i try to rename of or encode themt hey wont play and when i convert themt o dvd the picture jumps.

Get yourself a cheap DivX/XVid player, it will simply and speed up things considerably as you won’t have to keep messing around converting files.
