Video conversion and recording help..

Well after so many tries, I successfully managed to capture videos using Fraps..
8 minutes 30GB! Fine.
Now I want to convert them, add some styles and upload on youtube.
The thing is I don’t know how to do..
I tried
PowerDirector
xilisoft video converter
xilisoft avi MPEG converter.
Everything failed.
PowerDirector: Getting this error

Installed multiple times, updated, new version etc! Still same error.
xilisoft video converter: I drag and drop .avi files but nothing I see on screen.. It remains empty.
xilisoft avi MPEG converter: crashes at 28%.. No matter what.
So can anybody help me with this stuff?

Use Windows Movie Maker. Open the video on it, then save it again the size will decrease a lot.
If you want to convert, Freemake video converter is a very good choice.

@I AM AWESOME – If you choose high definition the size will be higher. Try and choose the default.
About the lag, could be some codec issue. That happens after you save the video?

Why are you trying to use a NLE to transcode a video ? Use file based trans-coding applications like Sorenson squeeze or promedia carbon both of these applications will allow you to proform “light” editing ie cropping aswell.
Promedia is more powerful but more difficult to use sorenson is an easier to use transcoder.
Stay away from ffmpg front ends theyre rubbish and crash like clockwork If you need a full video suite EDIUS has the widest input support (export as uncompressed avi)

I 1st converted the video to 720p using movie maker. Then produced using power director
Lag issue is fixed as well.
It’s 27 minutes video and around size is around 1.1GB

How to remove this?

Freemake Video Converter can convert to You Tube compatible.
