DIMENSION tv show 720p rips weird sizes

Does anybody know why DIMENSION 720p tv show rips are all weird sizes? It all used to be 1.09GB in size. Now with these different sizes i get pixelation. Take The Vampire Diaries S03E01 is only 870.73MB.

They probably switched from doing filesize-based encodes to constant quality encodes. Haven’t noticed any drops in quality myself. Maybe the sources have been poor.

Maybe they use better codecs, same quality lower size.

But he is asking for help basically so thats why it should belong in helpdesk…

I’d agree here, instead of constant size of file they have probably gone for constant quality for example 1000 kb/ps video bit rat and 350 kb/ps audio bit rate
