Hi, I have one question
What is the difference between these processors?
AMD Phenom X2 555 BE 3.2GHz
and
Intel Pentium D 2.66GHz
I'm thinking about buying AMD Phenom X2 555
and I know that I have to buy new motherboard
Thanks and sorry for my english
I’ld go with the AMD Phenom X2 555 BE 3.2GHz too
And BTW your english is better than alot of native english speaking people
if you have this nowIntel Pentium D 2.66GHz
then to use the “AMD Phenom X2 555 BE 3.2GHz” you will need to replace the mobo and more than likely your ram
ok thanks for answers
but i’s thinking about motherboard AM2+
or AM3 are much more better?
and right now I’ve got RAM DDR2
and my power suply it’s Feel 400W ATX(I using this PS from 2004)
What can you tell about those?

which motherboard is good with ACC(I want try to unlock 2 cores) on motherboard I can spend 40-50 pound – from scan.co.uk
and this power suply?

The Corsair 430CX is actually a 380W PSU relabeled as a 430W. It’s not at all a bad PSU but it’s pretty low of Corsair to do that as it cannot go near it’s rated wattage. As far as the quality of the PSU goes this PSU does the same amount of watts and is a more quality one overall

@ OP: I would really advise you to go with & D R E A M.
These guys have been ‘very’ helpful for me in many of the cases. Would advise you to take their suggestions before you give a go
Of course its AM3 that is better, you can find this stuff via google. I would change power supplies once every 3-4 years as the capacitor banks will hold around 60% around that time.
The triple 5 black edition is great for overclocking, with a flexible unlocked multiplier. See what motherboards they have and look at the overview and specifications via the OEM’s website.
Majority of the manufacturers have core unlocking in their overview page.
Core unlocking is a gamble.
If successful, you will need stress tests.
The temperature monitor will be out of order if you do unlocking so you need to make sure that the heat output is controlled.
