Deleting these files is ok?
January 23rd, 2020
I was wondering if deleting these files (not folders) from my D partition won’t cause any problems :
I guess they’re from previous Windows installations because i’ve just done a fresh install.
Thanks in advance
Well lets see, eula text files can be deleted just information on updates etc… usually End-User License Agreement stuff ex: Visual Studio or malware… but I am sure it’s as I said the first time. globdata.ini can go it too is visual studio… as I look more down I see .dll and .MSI this looks like a tmp file output. It should be fine to remove everything. You can create backups if you want but it looks to be a spot for tmp data.
Here’s something you could try:
Make an archive (RAR/ZIP) of all the files and delete the files.
If you notice any problems, just unpack the archive to the original location (your D: drive) and things should be back to normal!
hi,
you can delete this files. seems as they belong to virtual dj, just some random install files not necessary for windows!
ok. dont delete “VirtualDJ Local Database v6.xml”(this containd BMPs Cues and some info.) as it is used by VDJ and if u r a VDJ user.
u can delete “eula” “install” “globaldata” files as their is no needed of them anymore, (they are copied with VS2008 or so)
i dont know about the others files. u may try to cut and paste other files somewhere else and look for the effect.
Alright guys, thanks for your replies deleted them and I’m not experiencing any problems.
thanks alot!
