DDR2 PC2-5300 RAM

Hi all, I’m in need of 2GB or 4GB ram. I have two slots in my mobo which are filled by 2x 512Mb (DDR2 PC2-5300 333MHz) so I’m looking for 2x 1GB=2GB or 2x 2GB=4GB. question is wheres the best place to buy them? I live in the UK, I’ve searched eBay but none other. I don’t want to pay too much or too less, something reliable but not top top branded with a huge price tag. So far I’ve found the odd single 1GB ram stick for £10 and doubles for around £20.

As DDR2 is no longer being produced, it’s more expensive than DDR3. Have you checked your local Craigslist?

I’ll give the local computer shop a ring tomorrow but I’m pretty sure they will be more expensive than online. most of the RAM sticks on eBay don’t seem to have a brand, is it worth risking it buying the RAM, not branded but from a seller whos stated as a ‘top seller’

Crucial ? You won’t get much cheaper than what you have seen already for new.

I have bought things from Amazon Jersey (Indigostarfish) in the past, they are usually very reliable and arrive quickly (and are well packaged unlike some people do on E-bay, although I tend to use E-bay more than Amazon, lol).
