nvidia geforce 210 ddr2 gainward – dvi output doesn’t work

February 5th, 2020

Hello everyone. I have this Graphic card, but when i connect with the DVI cable with my monitor LCD it doesn’t work… the vga cable works just fine… i’ve installed the required drivers but, nothing!! What to do?
Answer #1
Check you have the correct cable. If you’re trying to use a DVI-A cable it won’t work unless both the monitor and card can handle an analog signal. DVI-I is most common and compatible. Check the pins to see what you have:

That’s a DVI-D dual link. Does the gfx card have the same connector?

Use a cable that matches the card.
Answer #4
if you disconnect the vga and reboot with just the dvi connected does it work ?
any “out of range” error or the like meaning an incorrect resolution ?
and FYI: the DVI-I extra 4 holes to thr left are only for analog (VGA) over DVI cable if both the TV & card support it and they are not needed for digital connection
Answer #5
now that i’ve seen better, the graphic card has DVI-I Connector and the monitor has DVI-D Connector.. my cable is in both ways dual link DVI-D cable
funny thing is that when i get it for the first time it used to work… but after several months, dvi stopped working…
