First of all you must set the same workgroup name on both PC-s. Then you enter routers web interface (enter 192.168.0.1 on address bar in IE or Mozilla) type admin for user and leave blank password field. Go to Home tab and under the Wireless section configure the SSID name ( name of the wireless network as it will appear on network scan). Enable the WEP encryption and select 128 bits HEX key, enter one of the following by copy paste to the key 1 line 5262296d654d244975272a4451 or 3c3c55655c373b436b4f54653f or 64234d6b433550633922733526
( it doesnt matter which one you take coz i generated them for you so you can copy/paste it in router and windows configuration of your wirelles network but we will get to that soon)
Click apply and go to TOOLS tab and then System section, click “Save and reboot” and while the router is rebooting you go to Start-settings-network connections- here you right click Wireless network connection of your notebook wireless card and go to Wireless network tab where you click add network. Here you must enter SSID name that you have entered for your network, then choose open then WEP encryption and enter the HEX key that you entered on router by copy/paste ( you have to enter it twice to confirm the key) click apply and ok.
and that should be all, your notebook should connect to the network itself.
As for the desktop you should only connect UTP cable from router into the PC LAN port or do the same as you did on notebook, if you are connecting it by wirelles card to.
Hope it helps you
p.s. too bad it doesnt have WPA encryption which is better then WEP. You may also turn on MAC filtering for you nootebook ( For PC to unless you have connected it by UTP cable)

sorry i didnt see you use rev C so it does have WPA2 and i would recommend you use it by choosing TKIP and PSK, then by entering passphrase of your choice ( 8 symbols lets say ) everything else is same as WEP but instead of choosing open WEP on windows wireless managment you will choose WPA TKIP and use the passphrase you have choosed.
