Codec Problems?

I put a few avi movies on my PS3 and one of them isn’t playing any sound, just the picture.
All the others are fine, but the same movie plays fine on my Laptop, just not on the PS3, this has never happened before, how do I fix it?
Is it a codec problem from the PS3?

get gspot or mediainfo and open one of the files that works and check to see what audio is in the AVI file..then do the same with the file that does not work and see if there is differences between audio tracks..such as maybe the file that does not play uses ac3 instead of mp3 or aac.
