ps3 video codec

Hey,
This is my problem, i’ve got a ps3 and some of my divx movies play and some don’t it says incompatble data so i got avs converter but i don’t know what kind of convers i need to play the movies.
Can some one help me, have been looking in the manual of the ps3 but it says nothing about divx just that it plays them thats all but not what format i need.

That’s not the problem i’ve got the appz but to what do i convert m4p, avi, etc. thats what i need to know

Some work for me to but some don’t and i don’t get why thats my problem, when i play them on the xbox360 no problems because just had to linkup ad upgrade but ps3 don’t get them all working
