by media player, u mean play the file thru my pc?
and if i burn the movie to dvd wont i lose the 1080p quality?
Ther is a cinevia fix for ps3 but you have to be on CFW to install it
failing that the only other way to watch it on the ps3 is useing a media server that encodes on the fly

or reencode the entire file
i use convertxtodvd for burning disks but im pretty shure if u burn it the cinivia will still kick in ???

No by media players. I mean these.

If u got a external hardrive layering around. Get this media player. (The meerkat reccomened me this and it’s great lil device)
