DVD players (no cinavia)

February 6th, 2020

I am looking for a dvd player without the Cinavia Firmware. I don’t care if the player is older than 2012, and I don’t care if it is a Blu-Ray or just a plan old dvd player.
1.) Must have HDMI
2.) USB – Would be nice but not a must.
3.) Karaoke – Would be nice but not a must.
I have checked all over google and different forums… no luck as to specific models/brands.
Thank you much, any suggestions or links appreciated.

Answer #1
1) ALL current models have HDMI
2) pretty much all of them too, the trick is to know what file systems they support. A lot of them still only support fat32
3) doubt you’ll find that on any model. Kareoke discs use the CD+G type and don’t think any model except kareoke machines can read those
and about the cinavia, well if you only want a pure DVD player your chances of encountering one with it are pretty much ZERO. Cinavia is not part of the DVD standard and as such DVD only players (even current new ones) are not required to support it. That’s only blu-ray players from Feb 1st, 2012 and newer

I appreciate your response, but, Maybe I should have specified, that I am asking for a MAKE & MODEL
and let me repeat, I really don’t care about the karaoke or usb, main thing is a player that does not have the “CINAVIA” Firmware on it. I specified HDMI, because of the suggestions people may give are for older players. I am not concerned if it is a newer model, or plain dvd player, or a blu-ray. Again, just that it does not come with the CINAVIA firmware.

You would be best off to Google “cinavia free dvd players” to get answers from forums that specialize in that sort of thing..
Would be pretty hard these days though…You might have to dig up an old second hand one
Answer #4
Yeah, I have been all over google, everything I am finding is about hacking cinavia or by passing with software and other tech… I just am hoping someone here might say, yes… I have a … make / model, and it doesn’t have issues with cinavia protected dvd’s.
Answer #5
as i said. ANY MAKE AND MODEL that is just a DVD player (no blu-ray) will NOT have cinavia on it. As it’s not part of the DVD standard! You can just go in the shop, pick one up and it won’t have cinavia. Can’t make it any more simple than that.

Ok, Thank you, Misunderstood your explanation, just reread it… Appreciate it.
