Change my limited account to admin?
June 11th, 2018
Well I’m using my uncles account and on a sub limited account where I can’t install programs without using his password, so I want to change my account to admin or find a way to install all programs and if i change to admin i also need to be able to change my self back.
Any help guys?
Well I am Jeebus and I shall try to save you. What I know is that in Hirens BootCD has tools to reset admin passwords from Windows, so yes you can regain admin access but i dont think you can set it back to what it was before. So your uncle would notice you did something when he sees his account doesnt have a password anymore

Yeah I need a fullprooth way not to be found at, as it is so annoying where i keep asking him to use his password to install stuff and when he goes to work im not allowed to do it as hes not there.
Maybe someone knows anotehr option hacking possible..
hey dude i dont know if this [changing admin pass through guest account] is allowed:
open command prompt via:
Start > Run > CMD [ENTER]
in command prompt window type:
“net user” without quotes
you will get list of all accounts in the pc.
so now choose account you wanna change pass
say its “Uncle Sam”
now type:
“net user Uncle Sam *” with out quotes
now a prompt for new pass comes
enter your password once [you cant see even the *s as you enter pass.its just blank]
and press ENTER
enter same again and press ENTER.
Thats it.
now you have your password for that account.
now login to his acc and change your account type or right click on program you want to run as admin
and click run as
choose Uncle Sam and enter the pass and press ok
now open the file and gimme! it works

Wish i could use that way but then his password will have been changed so he’ll know
Install a keylogger and the next time he types in the password, you will have it. Then you won’t have to ask anymore.
is this vista or xp? with xp it is really easy. i dont remember exactly but go to cmd prompt and type accperm and it should list all accounts and their full permisions. youll have to search through every permission you want. theres quite a few, so look for run installer.exe permissions and set to allow. ps : just tested accperm and its not right, search it i cant remember what its called.
Do you know his password? It sounds liek you just type his password when you install stuff? Then just login with his account and give your user admin rights from Administrative Tools – Computer Management – Local users and groups
And no, you can NOT give admin rights to someone when using a limited or guest account, all that “net user” etc won’t work, it will just tell you “access denied”
net user command won’t work
the solution is ERD Commander
download it burn to CD and when your uncle isn’t at home boot from that cd (ERD Commander is a bootable CD, like LIVE OS you start the operating system just from cd)
then when it’s started you will see the desktop go open computer management – local users and groups – under users
find your account right click add to group and put administrators – OK , close the windows and restart the computer
but now don’t boot from cd but from HDD (or remove the CD from cd -rom)
now login with your account and u will se that you are an Administrator do the things that you want to do and back go to computer management (right click in my computer – manage – local users and computers
under users find your account right click properties – members and remove administrators and OK – now
just logoff and logon back and you are a limited user
