Burning DVD(Non stop)SOLVED

January 25th, 2020

Hi
I am pulling my hair out with this movie Non Stop staring Liam Neeson .. i have downloaded rips by Santi,Majestic and Evo…i convert the movie to dvd and have burnt it on diff speeds and with diff burning engines and now i am up to 6 copies and all of them start to glitch and freeze in the last 15 minutes of the movie…..this is played on 2 diff dvd players as well, that work fine for other movies..also 2 diff batches of DVD blanks by diff makers have been used….Any one else had this happen?
Thanks

well which 2 brands of blanks would that be? What are you using to burn? at what speed?
Answer #2
Try another converter.
“ConvertXtoDVD” is good. Fast too.

I have used imgburn for years..tried convertx burning engine, nero as well..speeds normally do 8x but tried 4x …i cant remeber the blanks at moment but they are cheap ones..one is mcc i think..but i have many done with these that work ok…My dvd burner is only 4 months old on a new unit and have done over 100 so far at least on it..i am going to try one more thing and burn the movie on my old 8 year old comp and imgburn just to rule out a bad dvd writer on my new unit..
Thanks

After you’ve converted the original file (avi, mkv etc) to the DVD format of your choosing (Muxed file, ts_Audio/Video folders etc).. does the error show on the converted file or only on the DVD’s after you’ve burned it?
Play the movie after converting to see if the error is there pre-burn. If so, there’s your problem. If not, it’s the cheap discs or burner.

Clean the laser lens after 25 or so burns. You can buy a cleaning disc for about £1, has little brushes on it.
Answer #6
Based on the multiple players and multiple discs, I;d say that you might:
A – have a burner that’s dying, B – have a burner that’s dirty (a tiny bit of hair flying around and getting in the way of the laser will kill the burn.
Do you use ImgBurn verify after burning? I recommend it.
Clean your DVd burner, give it a good blow out, or vacuum from the open front.
Tell ImgBurn to do “verify” and try again.

Did you check the source file ? even if you download it from different rippers , for example if i am not mistaken The Grudge 3 had an audio sync problems and i’ve downloaded it from 2 different sources .
Also try what others have said buy a cleaning disc and give it a try .

Logical solution there..yes the dvd vobs are fine at that point of movie..ive use 2 diff sets of DVD blanks..odds of that happening are slim..so it must be the dvd burner..Ill get a cleaning disc and try that..its only 4 months old brand new!Going to burn it on my other DVD writer on other comp as well..Ill also use verify with img burn in future..never used it all these years.
Thanks for all who helped with advice

Yeah, I cant see it being the discs.
Good luck with the lens cleaner Also, check the disc tray for scratches/ dirt.
