Best program to recover lost pictures after format?

What is a good or the best program to recover my pictures after a format, seems like my dad thought there was something wrong with the computer then googled how to reinstall windows from partion long story short I lost all my all my pictures mostly what I care about, well if someone can help that would be awesome!

If the drive has been formatted there is a 99% chance you will not be able to recover your data via software. Recuva is free restoration software, but in your case, I doubt it will work.
When sharing computers, you and your dad need to have a little bit more open communication about what you do with it or have on it.

don’t use the hard drive to boot, you may be overwriting your files
get “Active Boot Disk” and burn & boot from it (can also be put on a flash drive)
“Active Boot Disk” in apps section has “Active File Recovery” on it
