Battlefield 3 pc play!?

Battlefield 3 error CreateDXGIFactory1? when i try start the GAME? any ideas?

The entry point CreateDXGIFactory1 requires the support of DXGI 1.1 which is available on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, and as an update to Windows Vista (KB971644). If you are using Vista and only have DXGI 1.0, please install this Platform Update : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971644
you on vista? get SP2
try to update directx from the “redist” game folder. Click on the DXSETUP.exe
edit: this confirms you need SP2 if on vista.
works on my 9600m gt..incredible:) thanks tooth:) and those who get the error " CreateDXGIFactory1 could not be located in the dynamic
link library dxgi.dll ", if you have vista SP1 update it to SP2 and install
the platform update for vista and it will be ok.

Sp1 mate. i downloaded sp2 but cant instal it says files are missing! i cant get into windows update i might need a fresh format
