Where to place Battlefield 3 to be able to play online?

i DLed the game (BF3) from this website, but i plan on buying a serial key from a store.
1) is it recommended to buy a key for this game?
2) where should all the game files go in order for Origin to recognize it and show it in the battlelog interface so i can play online?

i was going to download it from this site, then remembered i pre-ordered it back in march and now waiting till 28th to get it as downloading several gigabytes for 2 days single player is not worth it.
what i recommend you do is buy the game as a disc and all that way it should automatically find where to place the files and work.

buying just a key is 50% cheaper.
I think i just need to know where where the files supposed to be extracted :\ not sure.
p.s. – the SP is pretty amazing. thanks to the graphics and sound design. gameplay is really old school. nothing special. sometimes it’s a real miss with missions that wont let you do the most entertaining things u might think you should but still – it’s very exhilarating

run the installer, when asked for a key put in your legit key finish up install play?

1) if you like BF online then yes it has a seriously hard learning curve though

not that hard
i did not have an installer. i DLed the game and it was an unzipped version. i didnt need to install it. only place the EXE crack and that’s it.
