Anyone ever used Ventrilo and Teamspeak?

My gaming clan used Teamspeak from August 2007 to October 2007. Then we switched to Ventrilo up until February 2008. Since February, I have started hosting my own Vent server from my computer.
Anyways, what I want to know is from your experiences, what is better? Personally, I like the graphical interface of TS better as it seems more “friendly”. The reason I’m wondering is because if TS is actually better, I would rather use that as a server host than Vent.
ive only used TS but it was good for what it was used 4 (clan speak)

I like Vent for its quality. I also like how it is more configurable. And I used to run servers for both as well.
ventrilo is better if you play online games. because teamspeak has a lag of about 4 seconds and ventrilo is about 1-2 on a bad day. ive used both programs and Ventrilo > Teamspeak .
personaly i prefer TS although the quality is not as good the interface is much better
and i’ve only ever experienced lag when speaking with a bud from AUS
plus as far as i know
TS is used for much much more than vent

Vent Is way better
Vent in my opinion is better, slightly more complicated, but better. Plus you dont have that annoying ‘Member Joined’!
aah, noob, you can turn that sound off, both on client and server side. anyways, TS has better interface, easier to maintain, and on top of that all, its actually apsolutely FREE!
To be honest I’ve never used Ventrilo since i’ve stopped playing most MMORPGs but I did use TeamSpeak and it was fine. From what people used to say back then Ventrilo was always better, people were just too ignorant to change

Ventrilo gets my vote. Teamspeak 2 is extremely exploitable and TS3 has been in development forever.
http://getgsc.com/ is free and run by gameservers. Only problem is most people are too lazy to download a new client.

I’ve used both Ventrilo and TeamSpeak.
I still use Ventrilo till today … I stopped using teamspeak a little more than a year ago – so I only used till version 2 of TS.
Sound codecs of Ventrilo were much better than of Teamspeak v2 – that’s why we changed software.
