August 8th, 2016

The topic title says it…
My friend bought a Kingston 8GB USB DataTraveler and he says there was an application on the flash, that he ran, and now the size of it is 3.55GB. Can anyone help me to restore it to its original size of 8GB?
Thanks.

you need to reformat…
Answer #7
Its most probably a scam or fake mate.
I bought a 16gb and the ~ censored ~ seller done something to make it look 16gb when you inserted and it showed 16GB but it was really only 1GB.
Where did he buy it from?
Answer #8
It might be a scam it might not…I run against that problem before with my 8 GB usb pen…Because of the limitations of windows…you don’t get the option to format to ntfs and you can format the full 8 gb…
It depends where he brought it from…Hope not ebay…
Answer #9
No, no, he bough it from the best online shop in Serbia. So it’s not fake. Thanks for replying guys . I’ll try to format it again…
Answer #10
Has it been sorted mate?
or was it a dodgy batch ?
Answer #11
The problem still persists
I don’t know what to do anymore…
