difference between macromedia flash / adobe flash?

Witch program is the best for making flash objects for a websight.. such as graphic enhanced menus
Whats the difference between these two and witch one is better?

i think that adobe bought FLASH from macromedia ! That is same flash! only macromedia is older! I thinko so …
