3D movies

August 1st, 2016

I have 3d tv which plays mp4 formats only. It has 4 viewing options- side-by-side, over-under, simulated 3d, off … So when a connect a compatible usb drive and select the off option it plays the movie as we see in theatres(broad version) Yesterday i downloaded a 3d movie from the net (which is side-by-side). I played it from my desktop, where i connected my desktop and 3dtv using a hdmi cable. Obviously now i cannot select the option ‘off’ from the 3dtv. So what can i do to watch the movie in the usual theatrical style?

Sony bravia HX750..
Yeah, it cannot play mkv files. Since im playing from my desktop is there any way to convert the side-by side 3d movie to one image 3d movie?
Answer #3
I think it can play mpg if I read it right on Internet.. You could just download the mkv and use mkv2vob to convert it to a mpg (no quality loss) and load it into the USB

I agree I have the WD TV Live media player and it works great. You can put two usb ext hdd on them or set up networking share and stream to TV. I have a Sony Bravia and by using the media player watch 3d movies mp4 and mkv’s all the time
