2nd harddrive?
January 23rd, 2020
Its a Western Digital 36GB 10,000RPM SATA2 hard drive.
You prolly need to switch the jumper on the back of the HD, there should be a diagram on it. You need it on Slave.
From memory SATA drives don’t have master/slave configurations. Does your mobo support SATA2?
Try this:
1. Your SATA HD is not detected because you need to format it.
2. Right click My Computer –> Manage –> Disk Management.
3. You should see an Initialize Disk wizard pop up.
4. Partition and format the disk to your liking, but make sure NOT to convert it to a dynamic disk, as doing so will provide plenty of annoyances.
Note: There are no jumpers to worry about on SATA drives. Some SATA drives do have a jumper which controls the speed of the SATA drive itself, but you do not need to worry about anything related to master, slave or cable select.
in windows ? did you format it ?
