how do i clean up my harddrive?

i checked my specs and i have 220g hardive and only 35g left of free space, yet i have just deleted all my music and films…and have no idea where the other 180g has gone?
can anyone help me with this problem?

probably windows updates, and restore points along with page file they all eat up space
EDIT try a soft called tree size to see which folders are bigger than expected

Tuneup utilities 2009 will do the trick helped me free up a lot of room, especially the first time i used it. when i had to sort out a friends laptop, i freed over 20gb with Tuneup

OS takes some space and mac os isnt that light. it takes like 10~15 gbs IIRC, also programs take some space. Make sure it isnt making backups of your system on the same drive. Other than that do a clean install using the recovery dvd and you should be fine
