USB ports don’t work with my keyboard!

All USB ports work fine with any game controller, printer, mouse etc. However, my keyboard does not work no matter which port I plug it into. If it helps I have a Dell L100 keyboard.

have you tried testing the keyboard on another pc, maybe it’s broken

Did you try a reboot?
The keyboard I am using now works except for the multimedia keys in the USB port..
Then I tried a USB to PS2 adapter and they all work now !
Strange things happen

Whats a PS2 adapter?
And….rebooting dosen’t help. I don’t think the keyboard is damaged but i’ll see if it is.

check the bios advanced settings. See if you can enable usb keyboard support

go into the bios then you will see advanced options. To get to the bios, press F8, F10 or delete repeatedly from turning on the pc. The button will depend on your pc type

ok…..now how do I check if the keyboard is enable or not in the advanced options?………By the way I have vista
Plus….the keyboard works on other PCs so I guess it is my computer
