Not able to Copy files to Memory Card

Hi All Last week i bought one 2GB MicroSD card from Kingston. I have Samsung SGH-A707 Mobile [ Unlocked AT&T Mobile ]. When i tried to transfer Songs / Some files to my MEmory Card I’m Getting Errors Invalid Parameter [or] I/O Device not Ready Error and stopped copying the files. Got this error in Transferring via the cardreader, and also through the Samsung Mobile – PC Usb connector.
I tried various formatting options and also changed the Optimize for performance [ in device manager properties and getting same error ]
Please help me in solving this problem.

memory card could be dud, take it back to where you brought it and get it replaced

If it didn’t even work to begin with I would suggest taking it back ASAP and getting a replacement.
