Internet (espec streaming media) very slow for some reason..

last couple of days, sites like youtube and other sites like that have been loading very slow for me. things like watching videos, uploading files, downloading podcasts and stuff are taking way longer then they normally would.
i’ve checked my usage, and im not anywhere near being capped either, and i haven’t changed my plan at all..
whats going on? haha

Maybe you got some viruses. Do you have an antivirus?
It could be a lot of things. It could be a virus that’s stealing bandwidth, a program that’s stealing bandwidth, your browser, your browser settings. Most likely your ISP is on peak hours when many users are online at once so your ISP limits bandwidth.
ok, i have run many virus scans using norton, SUPER and uniblue, and they all show no virus.
i rang my isp provider, optus, last night and they say that on their end our speed should be fine, but on my computer it still is only downloading at 116kb/s. normally it would be 3,500kb/s.
no one?
