Been with Hotfile for about 2 weeks..today out of interest used a link checker to check my links were live..it came back dead..Went to hotfile to sign in and getting “Bad username/password combination.” which is a load of BS as its stored in my browser list to login auto and nothing changed..also typed manually and getting same message..Im wondering if Hf is a scam or has anyonee else encountered this and sorted it out?

I know a friend who bought an account, he hasn’t had any problems with this. Maybe you should contact hotfile?

Sounds like you might of had your passwords stolen. You must change all your passwords that are stored in your browser! Then delete them ALL and stop using your browser to store passwords. Use keepass instead.
Try and recover the account if there is the option. Send for a password reminder/forgotten password or something like that.
They might be using your uploads to include in their posts so they can post some normal none infected uploads and some infected files. It saves them having to upload the none infected files.

Looks like your password got hacked, and the hacker deleted all the files

Ok ill contact..but i wondered maybe my pass got hacked…thanks for help..ill update as soon as i know..ok im typing my email for password reminder and im getting “User with that e-mail address does not exist in our database” i guess i lost that account..only had a few files on their sio no hard cheese i guess..ill stay wiyh megaupload and rapidsher….Thanks for all the help..and ill try that password thing

yep. looks like you got hacked. contact them and maybe you can get your account back, but i’d say your files are gone
