Best way to connect an Atari 7800 to an HDTV?

Moved from Off-Topic to Helpdesk.
On old video game systems they made a coaxial into a component. Adapter for old systems that work pretty good, but if its a old system it will be full screen on your wii not wide screen
If your TV has an analogue tuner, then you connect the coax cable from the Atari to the antenna socket of the TV..
You then scan the analogue chans on the TV till it stops on the output from the Atari.
A switch box may be used to switch the TV between game and antenna.

If you only have A/V inputs on your TV, then it is possible to modify the Atari with information mentioned in that post…
There are all kinds of adapters, switch boxes, etc. that you can buy, from cheapo models to mega chan remote controlled ones. heck out sites like NewEgg, Monoprice, BestBuy to get an adapter. Usually you’ll want to hook the Atari to the adapter and the adapter to your AV port. Your TV should have multiple AV ports so you don’t tie up your only one. If you get an adapter with multiple chans, you could hook up a lot of other stuff to it too. I don’t have anything as old as an Atari, but I have an NES, SNES, Genesis, 2 PS2s, Xbox, Xbox360, PSX, Gamecube, and Nintendo 64 all hooked up to a semi-sophisticated adapter.
