skype call, can’t hear other side

First time skyping with my friends using my new computer. We are just using voice call , no cam. For some reason I can’t hear them but they can hear me just fine. I check my sound mixer and it show the sound is coming out from the digital audio…which I dont have ..or didnt know I have. The webcam is plugged into a 2.0 USB.

You’re not looking at the right place. You should be checking your Skype settings!
Go to tools>options>general>audio settings. If you have more than one device listed on “speakers”, Pick the correct one.
Edit: It could also be a problem on the other end (The person who’s calling you) if their microphone is set the wrong device on skype’s settings.

That’s why you have “Skype Test Call”, to troubleshoot that kind of issues. Use it.
