If it’s a brand new PC and you haven’t installed any on it then take it back to where you bought it and get them to either fix it or give you another new machine.
Answer #2
Keyboard and mouse not set to wake it up, goto Device Manager and click on the properties of mouse and keyboard to change settings, after you’ve pressed the power button that is.

they’re both set to wake up.
Answer #4
Maybe it was set to shut down instead of sleep after a time period?
I know that sounds dumb.. but I’ve seen normally very intelligent people make similar mistakes.
Answer #5
is right. You went and took a shower so that mean the pc is idle. Every new pc or just format will have default power option.
Go into your power option and change all of the setting to never if you want it to be on even when idle for a period of time.

It didn’t shutdown, the blue light indicates it still running.

It happens after a clean format, it is set to turn off display after 10 minutes.
Answer #7
i don’t think in your situation that it only turn off the display , you said the keyboard’s Num Lock didn’t respond so its likely in standby.
In your BIOS check for options that says :
Allow USB to wake up the computer or
Allow PS2 to wake up the computer (if you have a PS2 keyboard)
i believe these options could be in the power settings.
Answer #8
Mm.. curious..
It’s possible that it’s gone to standby, sleep, or hibernate and, as others have said, the keys don’t trigger a “wake-up” event.
Still.. if it’s brand new, take it back to where you got it and have them fix it..
Answer #9
increase the PCIE frequency of the bios setting defaults to compensate for the operation of your video card, optionally in increments. you may need to go beyond Bios default settings to meet the demand of the latest video card your using.
Answer #10

Answer #11
