Macbook – Canon LBP7010C Problem

August 1st, 2016

I am having a bit of a printer issue here. My printer is Canon LBP7010C/7018C. I’ve been printing with it for a while. But today, I found that I can’t print anything on it. Paper’s loaded. Printer’s on. I’ve changed USB wire, restarted printer, restarted Macbook, but nothing seems to have worked. It just stays like this:

I’ve even tried reseting the printing system, but again, the problem persists, and googling isn’t much of a help here.
Strangely enough, it said it’s in use.

After a while however, it’ll be “paused”.

I am using Macbook Pro Retina Display 15’, bought 2013. It can’t be an exhausted toner. I just bought it for two months and didn’t make a heavy print-run at all. Help is needed.

Answer #1
Is the printer connected to a network? You may need to reset the printer server to clear whatever it thinks it is printing. You could also try reinstalling the drivers for the printer. Leaving it unplugged overnight has been known to fix issues as well in rare cases.
Answer #2
What drivers are you using?
