Problem with Macbook Pro speaker delivering.
August 27th, 2013
it’s not the speaker or headset that’s the problem. i have tested them on my phone, where there’s no problems..
have anyone of you ever heard of such problems??
I found some info posted here
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3085462?start=0&tstart=0
it talks about trashing the finder playlist
Paste:
See if trashing the Finder preference and restarting your computer helps.
Home>Library>Preferences>com.apple.finder.plist <—— this is the file to trash.
it’s the same problem i has, as in the discussion you refers to.
but thanks for your input anyway.
trashing the finder playlist did not help ?
nope..
I did a bit more reading and it seems the headphone jack switch may be sticking. Try wiggling the headphone plug while it is plugged in and see if there is a difference. You may have to do this a few times
it’s not helping.. the problem is also in the standard speakers in my Mac.. could it be a virus??
mac doesn’t have viruses yet. It has to be hardware or software related. not much posted about speaker volume going up and down all by itself
lets try to narrow down when the problem happens
Is there any particular program this happens in ?
does the volume control and mute seem to work ok ?
there’s no particular programs, it’s just every time i have to hear anything through a form of speaker, the sound will be lower in one of the sides of any speaker set.. the volume doesn’t go up and down by itself, the volume stays in the position that want it to be..
it’s like when like when you make a beat in a music program, and decides that the guitar only will play in the left speaker…
that has to be a bad speaker or a software setting
do you have left right control over the sound
or a mono / stereo / surround type settings
dig into the audio settings and see what you can find. there may be a default / reset you could do within the audio settings
what model is the mac book pro I could check and see if there is a way to remove / reinstall the audio driver from the terminal
Macbook Pro 13 OS X Lion 2,4 ghz intel core 2 duo with nvidia gforce 320m 256 mb.. is pretty new to this, so would that be the right information?
let me look around . its more than i had
WAAAAAAIIIIITT… I found it.. in some ways balance was changed to the right side.. off course.. thank you so much for your time and help..
very cool
glad its solved
