well, to begin solving a BSOD, we’ll need to know the nature of the problem. What is the error message that is displayed besides the dumping of physical memory? It should be in the top left corner of the screen in caps.

When does this problem occur? Is it random or does it occur only when you run a specific app?

I proceed to setup windows xp so I press enter. the setup copies the necessary files, asks it questions if I want to format , I format and partition into two partitons, then it starts copying windows files, it copies files and then restarts. Time for the graphical section of Windows Xp setup right, It passes the stage for boot from Cd Then show the windows XP logo loading. Then it shows a graphic blue screen some message shows about windows XP “setup is starting… please wait” then screen goes black then returns with BSOD giving me on of two error messages. sometimes it says, “Video driver has failed to initialize”
Then tells me to turn off bios options such as caching or shadowing

I turn of the L1 and L2 cache, Disconnect the ATI AGP graphics Board and increase the Shared onboard VGA from 32mb to 64mb. I then get the same behaviour but different error. The error Windows logon process system. process failure My error codes are quite, long and I’m having trouble cramming them but they have a 402 in them
